KOZHIKODE: K. Ratnakaran did not just win the title but finished unbeaten till in the end too. The top seed, who had made things extremely difficult for his rivals when he won his first seven games, took his tally to 8.5 points at the end of the tenth and final round of the Calicut Chess Academy FIDE rating all-India chess tournament here on Thursday. The local lad drew with O.T. Anil Kumar, who was one of the five players who scored 7.5 points each, one point behind the champion. Among them, C. Natarajan was placed second and Preetham Sharma third. Important results (10th round): K. Ratnakaran 8.5 drew with O.T. Anil Kumar 7.5; Shyam Nikil 7.5 drew with Preetham Sharma 7.5; U.C.
