ORR compensation eyewash: CPI(M)

HYDERABAD: The CPI (M) Ranga Reddy district committee has opposed the compensation package announced by the State Government for those losing their land due to the Outer Ring Road works, dubbing it an eyewash. Committee secretary D.G. Narasimha Rao said the Government, unmindful of the hefty market rates of land there, had doled out a pittance to the land losers. He demanded the Government to take into confidence all the stakeholders.

Convenor of Metro Area Land Displaced People's Federation Amareshwar demanded that land-for-land should be given to the displaced in accordance with the market rates.
