Woman stabbed, robbed of ornaments

BANGALORE: Two armed men stabbed a 45-year-old woman in the neck and robbed her of Rs. 7,000 and gold ornaments at her house in R.T. Nagar police station limits.

The police said the incident had taken place around 8 p.m. at florist Narasamma's house in Ganganagar. After stabbing Narsamma, the robbers took her gold chain three pairs of ear studs and cash from her house.

Narasamma's two sons, who came home around the same time, saw the two men running out of their house. They suspect that one of their cousins is involved.

They claimed that two days ago, their cousin had come home and asked their mother to lend him some money and she had refused.

A seriously injured Narasamma, a native of Penukonda in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh, has been admitted to Bowring Hospital. She was out of danger, the police said. The R.T. Nagar Police have registered a case.

Chains snatched

Shylaja was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs. 40,000 in Vijayanagar police station limits.

Around 4 p.m., a pillion rider snatched her chain while she was playing with her grandson in front of her house on 7th Main, Hampinagar, the police said.

The Vijayanagar Police have registered a case. Two motorists snatched a gold chain valued at Rs. 72,000 from Sarvamangala (52) while she was walking on 2nd C Cross, 8th Main, Basaveshwaranagar, around 5.30 p.m.

The Basaveshwaranagar Police have registered a case.

The police said that around 8 p.m., two men had snatched a chain valued at Rs. 60,000 from Padma (42) in 1st Stage, Indiranagar.

The Indiranagar Police have registered a case
