: Sangeetha Kalanidhi-designate T. N. Seshagopalan on Friday offered to teach differently abled students who wished to learn music.
Inaugurating the Parallel Music Fest 2006, organised by Airtel and Rotary Club of Madras Coromandel, Mr. Seshagopalan said that his student in Bangalore, Hamsini Nagendra, who was visually challenged had done her M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in music. She was also an `A' grade artist in All-India Radio.
"I am happy that I have been responsible for grooming such a student and if any others like her wish to learn from me, I am ready to teach," he said.
Airtel Chief Executive Officer P. Swaminathan said, "Life is like a pack of cards handed out to us. One wins not by analysing whether the cards given are best or not, but by making the best of what is given."
Nalli Kuppuswamy, industrialist, said there were 101 sabhas in Chennai organising 2,000 concerts in the December music season.
N. Srinivasan, President, Rotary Club, and Usha Krishnan, Principal, M.G.R. Janaki College, also spoke.
