UTV Software buys majority stakes in 2 firms

CHENNAI: UTV Software Communications Ltd. has announced its foray into gaming through the proposed acquisitions of controlling stakes in Ignition Entertainment Ltd. (Ignition), a console gaming company based in the U.K., and Indiagames Ltd (IG), a mobile and broadband gaming company in India, according to a release. The investment towards developing animation movies and gaming acquisitions would be around Rs. 260 crore.
