WARANGAL: The State Government is planning to set up a science laboratory in each high school in the State and work has begun in this direction, said Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah. Inaugurating the Chekumukhi Children's Science fair organised by the Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) here on Saturday, Mr. Lakshmaiah said the Government was according top priority to the education sector. More than 1,500 new additional classrooms were being built in the district. It was also decided to set up science laboratory in every high school to encourage and development scientific temper among children. Appreciating the efforts of JVV, Mr. Lakshmaiah said every belief should be based on rational thinking. "There should be no place for superstition and irrational thinking especially in the age of IT revolution," he said. Hundreds of children from various schools in the district were taking part in the three-day fair. Mayor E. Swarna, ZP chairperson L. Dhanvanthi, KU Vice-Chancellor V. Gopal Reddy, Arts College Principal G. Srinivasa Reddy, JVV honorary president Ch. Mohan Rao, president A. Ramachandraiah and others were present.
