VIZIANAGARAM: The answer for opposing globalisation and capitalism is to create awareness among people through literature, felt several writers, poets and critics at "Uttarandhra Sahityasala", which was organised by Sahiti Sravanti here on Saturday. State convenor of Sahiti Sravanti Telakapalli Ravi, who was the chief guest, said that literary writers must take the initiative to highlight the problems that would arise due to capitalisation and globalisation. The increased investments following globalisation would widen the gap between the haves and the have-nots besides threatening language and culture. Stating that north Andhra was the home for many eminent writers like Gurajada, Chaso, Tapi Dharma Rao, Sri Sri and others, Mr. Ravi said that Sahiti Sravanti had been trying hard to project the realities in society. Kalipatnam Rama Rao said that globalisation had affected cottage industries. Addeepalli Rammohana Rao, Chaganti Tulasi, A. Gopala Rao, Ramasuri and others poke. Earlier, they paid rich tributes to Gurajada by garlanding his statue.
