Rappayi dead

Thrissur: Rappayi, who was one of the star attractions of Thrissur, passed away at a private hospital in the city on Saturday morning. He was 64.

Rappayi was known to have a huge appetite for food.

He had set a record by eating 750 idlis, 5 kg. of banana and five buckets of payasam at a competition here.

His `insatiable' hunger earned him the nickname `Theetta Rappayi.'
