Cordiant in last four

THRISSUR: Cordiant Tripunithura CC defeated Wadakkancherry CC by seven wickets and entered the semifinals of the fourth Santosh Menon memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament at Cherpu, on Saturday.

The scores:

Fancy Fabrics Challengers, Thrissur 205 for nine in 30 overs (Aneesh 69, Sooraj 52) bt Pavaratty, Thrissur 176 in 29.2 overs (Kannan 50, Shilton four for 33).

Wadakkancherry 166 in 28.2 overs lost to Cordiant Tripunithura 167 for three in 25.4 overs (Jeevan Abraham 55).

Ramesh to open

tennis centre

Padmashree Ramesh Krishnan will inaugurate Kochi's latest tennis centre, the Tennis School Praveen Wilson, at the DD Retreat, Thammanam, near Kochi on Sunday evening. The tennis school will be run by Praveen Wilson, a former Tamil Nadu State player who later moved to Holland to work as a tennis coach.
