"No involvement of Dayanand Saraswathi"

TIRUCHI: Commissioner of Police Shankar Jiwal categorically stated on Saturday that Swami Dayanand Saraswathi was not involved in the case relating to the desecration of Periyar statue at Srirangam.

The police had arrested five Hindu Makkal Katchi activists on the charge of desecrating the statue on Thursday.
