New Delhi: Home Minister Shivraj V. Patil, leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha

L.K. Advani and other dignitaries paid floral tributes on Sunday at the portrait of C. Rajagopalachari (Rajaji) — a great patriot, an acclaimed statesman and an accomplished scholar — on the occasion of his 127th birth anniversary in the Central Hall of Parliament House.

It may be recalled that in recognition of the services rendered by Rajaji, his portrait was unveiled in the Central Hall on August 21, 1978 by the President N. Sanjiva Reddy.

Among those who paid floral tributes were Union Minister B.K. Handique and former Member of Parliament Bratin Sengupta.
