Art of Living course

A basic course in Art of Living will be offered at Krishnamandir at Seetammadhara from December 12 to 17, according to Ravi Kumar and Indira, instructors of the course. The timings are from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

INTUC plea

The INTUC has urged Labour Minister G. Vinod to fix special wages for contract workers in various industries in and around the city and release a GO. Its organising secretary N. Ramachandra Rao represented the matter to the Minister on a visit to the city.

Uttaradhikari arrives

The Uttaradhikari of Sri Sarada Peetham in China Mushidivada, Parupudi Chandrakanta Sarma, who was nominated by the peethadhipathi Swami Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi, was formally inducted at the peetham on Saturday afternoon. A chemical engineer, Mr. Sarma took training at the Sanskrit-speaking village of Mattur in Karnataka in Sanskrit, Veda and Vedanta during the last six years to become understudy to the Swamy.
