People's march

KOCHI: The coordination committee against the land acquisition related to the Vallarpadam Container Terminal road project will organise a people's march to Kanayannur taluk office on Tuesday. The committee is demanding the implementation of a comprehensive Act for solving the issues related to rehabilitation of the people whose land will be acquired for the project.

Reception to tourists

KOCHI: A group of tourists who arrived at the Kochi port visited Kumbalanghi on Sunday. The group, including around 100 tourists, was given a reception at Kumbalanghi Park by the Kumbalanghi Model Tourism Society in the morning.

Water supply

KOCHI: The water supply to Elamkunnapuzha, Njarakkal, Nayarambalam and Mulavukad will be disrupted till the issue of unauthorised tapping of water from the Ernakulam-Vypeen line at Mulavukad is settled, said a statement by the Kerala Water Authority Executive Engineer.
