Amar Mani Tripathi's bail plea dismissed

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a bail application by the former Uttar Pradesh Minister, Amar Mani Tripathi, main accused in the Hindi poetess Madhumita Shukla murder case.

Justices Ashok Bhan and Dalveer Bhandari said prosecution witnesses were yet to be examined. A petition filed by Nidhi Shukla, sister of the deceased, seeking transfer of the case outside U.P. was pending in the court.
