KARUR: The Revenue department staff should rededicate themselves to the cause of the public understanding that they could deliver the goods to people, the Collector, T.N. Venkatesh, said here on Sunday. Encouragement by superiors coupled with their self confidence would stand them in good stead, he observed at a workshop for the staff on self-confidence and development at M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering at Thalavapalayam near here on Sunday. He observed that the public looked up to the Revenue staff for a slew of needs, from getting certificates to receiving governmental assistance. In that sense, the department staff formed the vital link between the administration and the public. The participating staff played several games designed to instil self-confidence and improve their analytical ability.Resource persons from Sikshas, a Chennai-based human resource development organisation, M.S. Sivakumar, R. Suresh and D.G.M. Ganesh, put the participants through their paces.
