Chandigarh: Haryana Governor A R Kidwai will honour the war widows and gallantry awardees at the Vijay Diwas function to be held on December 15 at Rewari, sources said. ``Vijay Diwas is being organised in memory of the historic victory of the Indian Army in the 1971 Indo-Pak war,'' Capt Ajay Singh Yadav, Revenue and Irrigation Minister, said. He said the Government had provided a number of facilities to the freedom fighters, ex-servicemen and their dependents. ``Haryana Urban Development Authority had decided to develop defence colonies at Rohtak, Rewari, Jhajjar and Jind exclusively for the ex-servicemen and other serving defence personnel'' Mr. Singh added. He also said the cooperative societies for ex-servicemen were being formed. ``The foundation stone for construction of the war museum at Rewari has already been laid and a sum of Rs 20 lakh has been released for the construction of this museum.'' he said.
