HYDERABAD:
The Cyberabad police on Monday arrested six persons, including a real estate dealer, in a case related to the murder of a TDP leader at the Botanical Gardens in Madhapur on November 29.
The arrested persons include real estate dealer M. Venkatesh Goud, a resident of Telecom Colony in Gachibowli, Rajanikanth (25) of Lingampally, Rupesh (24) of Kulsumpura, Abed (21) and Imtiyaz (21), both residents of Mangalhat in old city, and Ganesh (24) of Gachibowli.
Madhapur Inspector S. Jayaram said Goud bore a grudge against the TDP vice-president of Serilingampally municipality Malla Reddy for lodging a complaint against him with the Vigilance Department for allegedly encroaching Government land at Gachibowli in 2003.
The Inspector said that efforts were on to trace other offenders involved in the crime.
