BANGALORE:
Those who quietly work for a cause dear to them, often make no noise. Read it as not always figuring in the media. But they too get recognised.
Praveen Bhargav, trustee of Centre for Wildlife Studies and Wildlife First, has been awarded the Sanctuary-ABN AMRO Wildlife Service Award 2006' for his work to protect national parks and wildlife reserves in Karnataka. Mr. Bharghav's work focused on the Kudremukh, Bhadra and Nagarahole national parks. The award is presented every year to "Earth Heroes" who do something tangible for the environment, especially, wildlife.
