MANGALORE: From dolls, artificial jewellery and fancy vases to squashes, pickles and papads, a range of products made by women entrepreneurs are on display at an exhibition-cum-sale being held at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan till Thursday. As many as 25 stalls have been set up at the exhibition organised by the Karnataka State Women's Development Corporation, Bangalore, and the Department of Women and Child Welfare, Mangalore. Some women have set up stalls individually, and others as part of self-help groups (SHGs). Stalls have been set up by entrepreneurs from different parts of the district. Yogish Bhat, MLA, who inaugurated the exhibition on Tuesday urged women entrepreneurs to dream big. He asked them to aim at slightly increasing the profit margins every month. The Government would take all necessary steps to make access to bank credit easier for SHGs, Mr. Bhat added. h He also stressed the need to ensure quality of products. A. Gopal, District Lead Bank manager, urged women to take risks and expand their business.
