A boost to sports

The newly introduced Sports Super Bumper Lottery by the State Government is seen as a novel attempt to raise funds to promote young sports talent. A promotional film produced by C-DIT, currently being aired on all Malayalam channels, appeals to all to contribute to the development of sports. The film features sportspersons from Kerala who have made it to the big league, like P.T. Usha, football sensation I. M. Vijayan and the young cricketer Sreesanth, who is currently leading the youth brigade in sports.

The film draws attention to the young sports talents in the State, many of who either quit sports after school or fade away into oblivion just because they are not given the right incentives and motivation to strive for greater achievements.
