Bharatidasan in quarterfinals

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MG University and Bharatidasan University moved into the quarterfinals of the South Zone inter-university basketball tournament here on Tuesday.

MG University overcame Madurai Kamaraj University 70-44 with Nirmal K. Mathew (17) and Rahul Krishna (16) doing the bulk of scoring. Bharatidasan University defeated Karnataka University 75-52 to enter the last eight. In the quarterfinals, MG Univeristy will meet SRM Institute of Technology while Bharatidasan will meet defending champion Satyabhama Deemed University.
