Bodybuilder banned

DOHA: An Iraqi bodybuilder, Saad Faeaz, was disqualified from the Asian Games after banned performance-enhancing substances were found in his luggage by authorities at Doha's international airport.

Husain Al Musallam, Director-General, Olympic Council of Asia, announced the suspension on Tuesday.

It was the fifth doping-related disqualification announced in four days at the Doha Games, but the first from an out-of-competition offence.

Saad Faeaz, was placed seventh in pre-judging for the 75kg class last Friday. — AP
