Talk show on vulnerability of women conducted

CHENNAI:
A `talk show' focussing on the `vulnerability of women' was conducted recently by the Red Ribbon Club - Abstinence Club of Ethiraj College for Women (evening).
Padmavathy, Joint Director of Tamilnadu State Aids Control Society (TANSACS); and Vimal, Regional Manager, Red Ribbon Club; conducted the session, which focussed on the emotions of young women in their adolescence.
The students were encouraged to discuss and ponder over a range of subjects right from pre-marital sex to both partners in marriage taking a HIV test.
Incestual relationship and abuse of girls by their relatives and related real-life happenings and news stories were discussed.
The final advice: avoid pre-marital sex and get things into perspective before committing yourself to any sort of relationship.
