KOCHI: From listening to music in the latest mode to buying Internet access devices, the Digital Life Style Expo on at Hotel Avenue Centre, Panampally Nagar, is a good opportunity for those who love technology, the convenience and novelty it brings to daily life. The three-day exhibition got under way on Tuesday. The show will be closed on Thursday owing to the all-India strike, but it will be open on Friday. The show is surely an eye-opener on the new breakthroughs that promise to spice up everyday life. The event is being organised by Manufacturers' Association for Information Technology (MAIT) in collaboration with the Kerala Information Technology Mission. MAIT claims to represent the IT hardware industry in the country. K.S. Nandakumar, MAIT Director, says that `Digital Life Style' is an exhibition that aimed at bringing the latest technology to the masses. It is also a platform for displaying a range of digital products that can enhance productivity and impact daily life. Twenty-one brands are participating in the show. It has been organised as a `buying show' meant for the visitors not only to feel the products but also purchase the ones that catch their fancy. Cameras, music gizmos, mobile and wireless products and home entertainment solutions are among the products on display. The show has been organised considering that Kochi is one of India's fast growing centres and Kerala's commercial hub. The exhibition is in keeping with MAIT's established purpose of promoting the use of IT in the country and building a world-class Indian IT industry.
