Subhiksha to open stores in Maharashtra

MUMBAI: Subhiksha, the discount supermarket and pharmacy retail chain, has announced its entry into Maharashtra with an outlay of Rs. 100 crore. The company will open 180 stores across eight cities in Maharashtra, of which 100 stores will be in Mumbai alone. According to a company statement, of the 100 stores in Mumbai, 80 stores will be operational in the next four weeks, while other cities in the pipeline include Pune, Kolhapur, Sholapur, Sangli, Nashik, Aurangabad and Nagpur.
