THRISSUR: `Sargotsavam,' a four-day cultural festival, is being held at the Thekkinkad Maidan and the Town Hall here from December 17 to mark the finale of the 50-day State-level programmes to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the State. The festival will feature a light-and-sound show, directed by Soorya Krishnamurthy, an audio-visual show (`Sargakeralam'), a percussion ensemble, Mohiniyattom by Pallavi Krishnan, dance programmes by Kerala Kalamandalam, a programme of vintage film songs and a music programme led by K. J. Yesudas. The programmes were announced at a press conference here on Tuesday by Thomas Unniyadan, MLA, and District Collector M. Beena.
