Vala back in Modi Cabinet
Special Correspondent
GANDHINAGAR:
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took back his trusted colleague Vajubhai Vala in his Cabinet and returned the Finance portfolio to him. He had held the portfolio for the last nine years, both in the Modi and Keshubhai Patel ministries.
Governor Nawal Kishore Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Vala at the Raj Bhavan.
His re-induction did not create any ripple in the party or the Government as Mr. Modi himself was holding the Finance portfolio. However, the expectations of some ministerial aspirants in the BJP Legislature Party were belied. They hoped that Mr. Modi might use the opportunity to expand his Cabinet.
