Renovated AC chair car in Sapthagiri Express

CHENNAI: Southern Railway has introduced a renovated AC chair car in the Chennai Central-Tirupati Sapthagiri Express.

The coach, renovated at a cost of Rs. 8 lakh, has added facilities such as cell phone charger, audio music system, automatic atomised room aroma dispenser and state-of-the-art soap dispenser. Photographs of annual functions of Tirumala and the temple view are also displayed.

Inaugurating the new coach, General Manager Thomas Varghese said its standard would be maintained to make travel a pleasure.

He also declared open an automatic platform ticket vending machine at Chennai Central.
