KOLKATA: Tamil Nadu and Mumbai made it to the final of the under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy cricket tournament. Both Tamil Nadu and Mumbai made the summit clash by virtue of their first innings lead against Orissa and Karnataka respectively. Both the matches ended in draws on the third and final day on Wednesday. The four-day final will be played at Cuttack from Dec. 18. Mumbai was bowled out for 360 on morning on the final day, with the team gaining a first innings lead of 41 runs. Karnataka did the next best thing by going in for quick runs and posted a score of 177 for eight before declaring the innings. Mumbai ended the day with 89 for three in 24 overs. At Jamshedpur, according to information received here, Tamil Nadu, resuming at 227 for nine, was all out for 244 in 89 overs. At close, Orissa was 142 for eight in 68 overs. Tamil Nadu moved into the final by virtue of its 22-run first-innings lead. The scores: At Kolkata: Karnataka 319 and 177 for eight decl. in 30.3 overs drew with Mumbai 360 and 89 for three in 24 overs. At Jamshedpur: Orissa 222 and 142 for eight in 68 overs (P.R. Sinha 51, R. Sethi 48) drew with Tamil Nadu 244.
