TDP SC Cell to take out `Chalo Assembly' rally

HYDERABAD:
The Scheduled Caste Cell of the Telugu Desam Party has decided to take out a `Chalo Assembly' rally from NTR Ghat on December 19, in protest against the anti-Dalit policies of the State Government. In a statement, president of the cell V. Ramulu said the Government's indifference to the welfare of Dalits was seen in the way the SC Commission remains headless, denial of funds to social welfare hostels and the increasing reliance on outsourcing denying jobs to Dalits. After taking out a rally, a delegation would meet Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and submit a memorandum highlighting the problems faced by the Dalits.
