Special trains for Christmas

CHENNAI: Southern Railways will run special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Christmas.

No.0632 will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 8 p.m. on December 22, 24, 26 and 28 and reach Chennai Central at 12.15 p.m. the next day. No. 0631 will leave Central at 4 p.m. on December 23, 25, 27 and 29 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7 a.m. the next day.

The trains will stop at Varkala, Quilon, Kayankulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Chenganacherry, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Alwaye, Trichur, Ottapalam, Palghat, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Arakkonam. No. 0632 will stop at Perambur also.

They will have one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class, 3 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. New Tinsukia-Thiruvananthapuram-New Tinsukia specials (via-Chennai Egmore): No.0207 will leave New Tinsukia at 11.45 p.m. on December 18 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 1.15 p.m. on December 22. No. 0208 will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 10.30 a.m. on January 2 and reach New Tinsukia at 11.30 p.m. on January 5.

The trains will stop at Mariani, Furkating, Dimapur, Diphu, Lumding, Hojai, Guwahati, Kamakhya, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, Dhupguri, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Durgapur, Andal, Asansol, Purulia, Tata Nagar, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Berhampur, Vizianagaram, Duvvada, Rajamundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Tirunelveli and Nagercoil. The composition will be one AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class, 3 general second class, 1 pantry car and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. No.0207 will leave Egmore at 8.20 p.m. on December 21 and no.0208 will leave Egmore at 4.25 a.m. on January 3.
