VISAKHAPATNAM: Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) retained the men's team title and the Police Sports Control Board (PSCB) won the women's crown in the 59th men's and 22nd women's senior National weightlifting championships, which concluded at the Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium here on Thursday. The results: Men: plus-105 kg category: 1. Saravjit Kanda (Police snatch: 160kg, clean and jerk: 203kg, total: 363kg), 2. Atul (UP), 3. Dharmender Sharma (Uttaranchal). Women plus 75 kg: 1. Geeta Rani (PSCB, 107kg, 140, 247), 2. P. Spandana (AP), 3. Jagdeep Bava (Chandigarh). Best lifters: Men: V.S. Rao (SSCB); Women: L. Mounika Devi (PSCB). Team championship: Men: 1. SSCB 568 points; 2. PSCB 532. Women: 1. PSCB 542, 2. AP 490. Inter-State championship (men only): 1. Madhya Pradesh 171pts, 2. Punjab 169pts.
