Punjab Police triumphs

NEW DELHI: Harshdeep Singh converted a spot kick to help Punjab Police defeat Indian Nationals 1-0 and win the third Lt. Governor's invitational DDA football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday.

The winning team received Rs.2 lakhs, the runner-up Rs.1 lakh and the semifinalists — Vasco Sports Club (Goa), and Hindustan Club — Rs.50,000 each.
