Niche becomes Unichem's 100 p.c. subsidiary

CHENNAI: Unichem Laboratories acquired the balance 40 per cent stake in its subsidiary, incorporated in the U.K., Niche Generics, from Group of Managers of the subsidiary. Prior to this acquisition, Unichem held 60 per cent majority stake in Niche Generics. As a result of this acquisition, Niche Generics has become the wholly owned subsidiary of Unichem Laboratories. Niche is engaged in the business of product development, dossier filing and manufacturing pharmaceutical formulations in the European markets, according to a company release.
