THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Sathyabhama University, Chennai won the title in the South Zone inter-university basketball championship at the Central stadium on Friday. Sathyabhama defeated Kerala and Madras Universities on the final day to finish the four-team semifinal league with an all-win record. Kerala University finished second, while Madras finished third. MG came last but the four teams irrespective of the results qualified for the all-India championship. Madras University went down fighting to the eventual winner 76-85.
