St. John's Ambulance annual conference

CHENNAI : St. John's Ambulance is holding its annual conference on December 23 at 11 a.m. at Hotel Palmgrove. Governor and president of St. John's Ambulance, S.S. Barnala will preside over the occasion. C.V. Krishnaswami, diabetologist from VHS Hospital will be honoured for his service to juvenile diabetes. The Automobile Association of Southern India will also be lauded for completing 100 years of service to vehicle users.

UK varsity counselling

Gurmail Singh, senior academic from School of Engineering and Computing, Coventry University at UK will visit Mancomp Professional Services office at Egmore on Monday to counsel students on programmes available in the university for February/September.

Andhra Bank ATM inaugurated

A 24-hour automated teller machine at Andhra Bank, Pondy Bazaar was inaugurated by K.Ramakrishnan, chairman and managing director of Andhra Bank last Sunday. The ATM cards of other bank and credit cards can also be used for drawing cash in this machine.

The Bank also plans to launch mobile ATM for Sabarimala pilgrims shortly.

Karur Vysya Bank's new branch

The Karur Vysya Bank's 255th branch at Raja Annamalaipuram was declared open by film director, K. Balachander on Friday. P.T.Kuppusamy, chairman of the bank briefed about the various technologies backed products available in the bank.

Benefit fund cheques

The cheques for seventh instalment of 5 per cent of principal amount of the recurring and saving depositors of Alwarpet Benefit Fund Limited has commenced from December 1. The cheques for fixed deposit holders will be delivered from third week of January through courier according to membership number of the depositors. Cheques will not be handed over in person.

Jeeyar's visit

to Korattur

His Holiness, Srimath Azhagiyasingar, 45th Jeeyar of Ahobila Math will visit Korattur on December 23 with the presiding deity of Ahobila Math, Sri Malola Nrusimha, says a release from the Math.

The Jeeyar will camp at the residence of C.S.Venkata Varadhan, 464, 17th Street, TNHB, Korattur till December 25. During his stay daily poojas, discourses, Samasranam, Baranyasam and Thadhiyaraadhana will be performed. For further details contact: 26245892 or 22790814.
