HASSAN: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will visit his home district of Hassan on December 20 to review the progress of development schemes and to launch new projects. District administration is geared to receive the Chief Minister under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner K.H. Ashwathanarayana Gowda. The Chief Minister has convened a meeting of Hassan district officials in Bangalore on Sunday and a special package for the development of Hassan district is likely to be prepared at the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner, the Superintendent of Police, the Chief Executive Officer of the zilla panchayat and other district-level officers are attending the meeting on Sunday. As there were complaints that the Chief Minister was paying very little attention to his home district, a decision was likely to be taken at the meeting on the overnight stay of the Chief Minister. A place would be selected other than Holenarsipur taluk as the Chief Minister hailed from that town.
