Disabled students seek bus passes, financial assistance

A BENIGN PLEA: Disabled students and their parents submit a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner K.H. Sathyanarayana Gowda in Hassan on Saturday.

HASSAN: Physically impaired students here on Saturday presented a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner K.H. Ashwathanarayana Gowda through Angavikalara Parishat seeking bus passes.

They said 300 bus passes meant for the disabled were distributed during 2005. They sought financial assistance under Adhaar Yojana to physically impaired and wanted action to be taken against village accountants who did not release the monthly pension to physically impaired persons.
