GULBARGA: A team of 14 budding and young artists from Gulbarga under the leadership of well-known painter Mohan Seetnoor, who is a member of the Karnataka Lalithkala Academy, will leave for Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh to present their works at the four-day All-India Kala Kumb Mela organised by the Allahabad University from December 20. The team consists of budding artists as well veterans, including Nagaraj S. Kulkarni, Dhidanand S. Sutar, Vanita R. Gawali, Pratibha Kambar, Jeetendra S. Kothalikar, Rajkumar S. Kale, Mahesh Reddy, Ramachandra Sherikar, Mallikarjun Koralli, Basavaraj Korkar, Ramesh Gole and Sharanaprasad. The Allahabad University is organising the All India Kala Kumb Mela of different art forms, including classical music, paintings, folk dance, poets meet, and photography sculpture on the main campus of the university. The painters from different parts of the country would exhibit their works in the exhibition organised on all the four days. The best works would be awarded prizes and certificates. The Rotary Club Gulbarga Midtown and Khanderao Vastushilpi were sponsoring the artists to participate in the Kumb Mela.
