ANANTAPUR: The joy of a couple from Kadiri town in the district who were issueless for 22 years after their marriage knew no bounds on Thursday as they were holding their bundle of joy in their hands.

Their dream had come true in the form of first test tube baby of the district in a private hospital here.

Nagamani (39) and Srinivasulu (44) approached H. Hyma and G. Nagamohan here at private hospital and after conducting the necessary tests the doctors suggested that the couple had the chances of having a child only through IVF or ICSI system. The couple was given counselling first to gain mental strength to go for the medical intervention. Ms. Nagamani gave birth to a healthy baby girl weighing about 2.8 kgs.
