VELLORE: Honorary lecturers of various colleges in Vellore district observed a token fast opposite the Collectorate here on Saturday, pressing their demands, including the regularisation of services of the over 1,000 staff working in arts and science colleges in the State. The Honorary Lecturers Welfare Association urged the Government to make permanent the services of honorary lecturers, who had the qualifications prescribed by the University Grants Commission.
