Puducherry : Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University A.K. Bhatnagar called for collaborative efforts between the university and its affiliated colleges here for introduction of innovative and advanced studies in various disciplines that were not available now. Distributing prizes and medals to students of a privately managed Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences on the occasion of the institute's fifth annual day on Saturday, Mr. Bhatnagar said that teaching and medial professions were most significant as these professionals had to listen and relieve the students and patients of their doubts and grievances. He paid rich compliments to the the institute in giving good treatment to the patients and in bringing out good team of students. He also handed prizes to the students of College of Nursing of the Institute. Director of the Institute Abraham G. Thomas welcomed those present. Vice-Principal of the college Meenu Cherian and Principal of College of Nursing B.J. Daniel also spoke. The Medical Superintendent R. Kalyan Singh proposed a vote of thanks. Anil Purty compeered the programme.
