Notorious criminal, accomplice held

Hosur:
A notorious criminal and his accomplice were arrested by a Special team of the Krishnagiri police here on Saturday.
A team under the supervision of Superintendent of Police P.C. Thenmozhi and Deputy Superintendent of Police Arualarasu had received a tip-off that Kora Gopi (36) and Senthil were hiding near a private hospital at Hosur. When the police zeroed in on them they attacked a sub-inspector with a sickle and attempted to escape. The police overpowered and arrested them. mobile phones and weapons were recovered.
The police said Gopi was involved in three cases of murder, 16 cases of dacoity and robberies, seven thefts and two cases of extortion in Hosur and other towns in Krishnagiri district.
