Engineers from IITs should assess the quality Flays Government on rehabilitation package
ONGOLE: The CPI(M) has expressed concern over poor quality of metal and sand being used in the construction of Veligonda project and urged the Government to seek expert opinion on the issue immediately. The CPI(M) state leaders - Punyavathi and Tulasidas - visited Veligonda and Gundlakamma projects in Prakasam district and felt unhappy over tardy rehabilitation measures. Speaking to newspersons on Sunday, the leaders pointed out that Veligonda project was being constructed with poor quality metal available locally endangering its safety. The party leaders said that the quality of the material was so poor that local people do not use it even for house construction.
