JAIPUR: A two-member team of the Jaipur-based Centre for Community Economics and Development Consultants' Society (CECOEDECON) will participate in the second assembly of Asian Peasants' Coalition (APC) from December 19 to 21 in Bandung, Indonesia. The APC is an Asia-wide coalition of landless peasants, farmers, agricultural labourers, fisherfolks, etc., with a 15-million-strong membership from seven countries.
100 delegates
The conference will be attended by over 100 delegates from India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan and Philippines. CECOEDECON Policy Head Vibha Agrawal said here over the weekend that the participants in the event would deliberate on fortifying the struggle for agrarian reforms and strengthening the peasant movement.
