According to the police, P. C. Varadarajan and his accomplice Gopal, both hailing from Kolathur, were arrested for forging ownership documents of a piece of land in Korattur. They had registered the land in their names and managed to sell it away.

However, the real owners P. Munusamy, P. Subramani and Alamelu filed a complaint with the Police Commissioner against the two persons.
