Seminar, fair on Tamil computer printing from February 2 to 4

To showcase printing, publishing needs of language computing A conference on various issues also planned
CHENNAI
: The Kanithamizh Sangam, an association for Tamil computing, and the Madras Printers and Lithographer's Association (MPLA) are jointly conducting a seminar and exhibition on Tamil computer printing between February 2 and 4, 2007, at Valluvar Kottam.
First of its kind
The exhibition is being touted as the first print and digital exhibition in Tamil Nadu and is titled `Thamizh Kanini Acchu' (Tamil-Computer-Print).
It would showcase the printing and publishing needs of language computing and developments in digital technology. A conference focussing on various issues like Optical Character Recognition, print-related information technology, digital media developments and e-paper to improve awareness among printers, publishers and students of printing has also been planned.
