`Be abreast of IPR laws '

BANGALORE: Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Cyriac Joseph on Monday stressed on the need for judicial officers to be thoroughly acquainted with intellectual property rights.

Mr. Cyriac Joseph was speaking at a workshop on "Intellectual property rights" organised for the judicial officers by the European Union-India Trade and Investment Development Programme (TIDP), New Delhi, and the Karnataka Judicial Academy.

High Court Judge and Karnataka Judicial Academy president H.L. Dattu presided over the pgoramme.

Arali Nagaraj, director of the academy, spoke.
