She was denied job for same reason

CHENNAI:
This is not the first time that Santhi has failed a gender verification test.
Three years ago, Southern Railway denied her a job after she could not clear a test.
A highly placed Southern Railway source told The Hindu that though her track record was excellent, she could not be accommodated in any position because of objections raised by the Chief Medical Officer of Southern Railway.
In fact, the then General Manager V. Anand, who was impressed with her athletic performances, was in favour of appointing her.
Mr. Anand suggested that the Chief Medical Officer send her for another test to a private clinic, but he was told that the result would not be any different.
