In protest against decision to sign up for ADB loan

RALLYING CRY: AIYF activists staging a march to the District Collectorate in Kannur on Monday.

KANNUR: Activists of the All India Youth Federation (AIYF) staged a march to the District Collectorate here on Monday to protest against the Government's decision to sign up for loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Inaugurating the march, AIYF State vice-president P. Santhosh Kumar said the ADB loan was against the interests of the State.

It was a serious matter that the agreement had been signed without the knowledge of the Chief Minister, he said. AIYF district secretary P. Pradeepan was also present.
